Sadie Parker-Wynyard

SadieSadie is one of the most experienced female mountain bikers in the country.

She has represented New Zealand in cross country mountainbiking at the World Championships and Oceania games from 1995 to 2004.  She also competed in one Commonwealth Games in 2002.

Sadie was on an international team Giant / Helly Hansen and was based in the UK as their top female rider. Throughout this time Sadie has coached individuals and groups in skills and fitness.

On finishing her career as an elite athlete Sadie has completed several coaching courses. She continues to improve her coaching skills through Bike NZ and the Australian Institute of Sport Coaching courses.

Sadie is currently the Auckland Mountainbike Club Junior Academy head coach and Department of Cycling Mountainbike Coach.

2009 has seen Sadie step into the role as National Cross Country Mountainbike Coach traveling with the NZ team to the Oceania Games and the World Championships.

Sadie lives in West Auckland and is contracted to the North Shore City Council designing a family mountainbike park in Paremoremo. When she is not designing trails or coaching mountainbiking she can be found taking Indoor Spin classes for Avanti Plus Waitakere. Leisure time is spent with her family.
