GetAcross demonstration – Open the Harbour Bridge!

Hi there GetAcross supporters,

We have had a great meeting of the supporters and it was decided to have the demonstration on Sunday May 24 at 9am. Meeting in the Curran Street park next to the bridge.

This date is 50 years after the original opening to the public to walk across and allows us time to coordinate the Demonstration March with the Police and the NZ Transport Agency.

Keep a watch on the getacross.org.nz website for the details of the May 24 demonstration. Tell your friends as this could be the biggest party for 50 years!

We’ll soon send you a flier with all the details shortly. See you there.

CATEYE Moonride – 6 May 2009

New Zealand’s iconic mountain bike race is coming and Department of Cycling is keen to  support teams wanting to enter this awesome experience.  The Cateye Moonride is an amazing mountain biking event held in New Zealand’s MTB mecca – the Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua

In conjunction with Avanti Plus Waitakere, D.o.C would like to sponsor a team as well as support all teams within our community and any solo riders requiring help on the day.

Costs are yet to be worked out, but once we know the number interested in participating we will put together accommodation and support packages.
