Formed just six weeks ago by the selection of the 16 men by secret committee, the unit has the Alton Auxiliary, During the past week, the Bethalto organization received their complete forest green uniforms and insignia and have been chartered by the state as a separate corporation. Their initial training periods have been devoted to the regulation of vehicle traffic and Saturday was their first opportunIty to test the worthiness of their classroom sessions. Everett Davis, chief of the aux- said that he was not only pleased with the results shown but also made special comment on the cooperation received from the general public.
